Tom is responsible for constructing corporate communication strategies for boards and ceos frequently advising on policy. He counsels clients on partnering, positioning and perception in the business community.

Tom has over 25 years experience in senior consulting and advisory positions. Prior to establishing Buchan, he was a Senior Political Adviser to two Federal Ministers and a Victorian Premier.

She has played a key role establishing and growing Buchan’s environment communication practice, with a particular focus on environmental and health issues for state and commonwealth government departments, water and environmental agencies, local government, hospitals, research bodies and private enterprise.

Michael has more than 20 years’ experience in economic analysis, regional development, industry and labour market analysis, and education assessments. His work focuses on regional economic development and regional and city futures analysis, community engagement and facilitation of community and business forums.

Michael is a past Chief Economist Director of International Trade for the Australian Chamber of Manufacturers (now Australian Industry Group).



Belinda advises clients on all aspects of corporate positioning, developing media/digital strategies and writing high-level thought leadership for clients in the professional and financial services sector. Her experience covers consultancy and in-house roles in Sydney, Melbourne and London. Belinda is also Team Leader for Buchan’s Sydney office, managing its people and operations.

Kyahn manages integrated investor communication programs for ASX-listed clients and corporate communication programs for leading companies. She has extensive experience in the financial services, property development and ICT sectors, having worked in both consultancy and in-house roles in Australia and the UK.

Katie manages integrated investor communication programs for ASX-listed clients and has extensive experience in technology, equities and biotech industries.

Prior to joining Buchan in 2011 she spent five years working as an industrials equities analyst with stockbroker Lodge Partners in the small cap sector of the market. She has strong analytical skills, an intimate knowledge of market activity, and a strong network of contacts in the investment community.

Sara leads the fast growing Technology & Healthcare Practices helping clients shift industry dialogue, drive adoption of new products and ideas, and achieve lasting business success. She runs communication programs and thought leadership events for new innovations with GlaxoSmithKline, CSL and Abbott and works with the Microsoft business groups on strategic planning and communication strategy in APAC and Australia.

For nearly a decade, Sara has been working with leading innovators in the technology and sciences sectors as part of Waggener Edstrom, one of the world’s largest independent communication agencies and Buchan’s global business partner. With career stints in London, New York, Portland, Seattle and now Sydney, Sara is well versed in directing campaigns spanning multiple geographies.



Jamie works with government and private enterprises to enhance and protect their reputation, and provides direct advice and facilitation services to organisations seeking to understand and engage with complex stakeholder populations.
